Thanks to Bruce Cota for his help. JPG> Hello folks; to those of you reading this via email, you may notice that the names are now missing from the top. This is by request, so let me know what you think. I know some people have said that they like seeing who is on the list and getting their email addresses, but I understand that it does leave several pages to go through before you get to the actual digest itself. JPG> Perhaps I ought to call this first bit the 'editorial'... make it sound posh... Anyway, not much in the digest today. Got bored, thought I'd send one out anyway. :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Jonas Nelson, KTH" <NELSON@l.kth.se> Date: Mon, 9 Oct 1995 08:48:49 +0100 JN> I was just wondering about those toughened monsters out there - are they implemented in ALL Quest games by now and are they equally tough? JN> The reason for asking is that I have two very similar groups (10 characters, ~110 turns) in games 6 and 9, and the group in #6 ran into 11 goblins the other turn. It was a hard fight but I won, killing all the goblins and having 6 wounded myself. JN> With this in mind, my group in #9 attacked 10 goblins last turn. I was expecting a good fight, but to my surprise the goblins ran away as soon as one of them was killed! Of course I followed up and attacked again (and again), but they kept running. I could only kill six of them :-( -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 9 Oct 1995 15:53:00 +0100 (BST) From: Allan Hooper <A.O.Hooper@herts.ac.uk> AH> Does anyone know what 'bugs' KJC removed rescently? Minor healing was mentioned but what about the casting Strength to increase a new recruits weapons skill? If it hasnt been removed then with the new toughness limit cant new groups recruit fighters with ACE (99) weapon skills? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Stefan Andersson <t94stean@und.ida.liu.se> Date: Thu, 5 Oct 1995 13:16:56 +0100 SA> I only wanted to tell everybody that I have started to put some Queststuff into my homepage, and I will include almost everything on the Quest subject you send me. So all of you who have articles laying around or any other stuff, mail it to me! I would also like to know if you have a homepage yourself. It doesn't matter if you haven't any Queststuff included, it's the person behind the group/ alliance/boasting that is interesting, so if you are not included in the Questplayer-list on my homepage, and want to be, tell me! The location of the page is included in the sig below, and if it doesn't work well, try this address: http://www-und.ida.liu.se/~t94stean/ Keep on Questing and may the eight gods smile upon you! ______________________________________________________ | ________________________________________ ____ ____ | | / _____/\__ ___/ _____/_ _____/ \| | / | | \____ \ | | | __/_ | __/ /\ \ | | | / \ | | | \| \/ \ | | | | /________ / |__ / /_____ /__ /\___/\_ /_|__ / | | \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ | | E-mail: t94stean@und.ida.liu.se | | Homepage: http://www.edu.isy.liu.se/~z94stean/ | |______________________________________________________| -------------------------------------------------------------------------- JPG> Cunning plan to make me include your sig, Stefan. Sorry that this didn't get in the last one by the way. JPG> Okay, that's it until the next time I have enough messages and enough time. If you have any comments, especially regarding the toughness of the monsters (I want to know about that too!), please feel more than free to drop me a line, even if you're reading this on rec.games.pbm; the more the merrier... Happy Questing.... >>-Josh-> "we are Young, we run Free, keep our teeth nice and clean, see our Friends, see the sights, feel Alright" -- Supergrass Up
