ATLANTISv2 atl-players-digest #148 From: csd@microplex.com (Christian Daudt) Date: Wed, 11 Oct 1995 00:00:00 +0000 Errors to csd@microplex.com Now there should be a digest whenever (a) there are 10 emails or (b) whenever there is an email waiting for more than 48 hours for a digest to be completed. So don't get worried if the digest has only 1 or 2 emails, that just means the list has been slow. (I hope it works) If you want previous versions, they are available via WWW at http://www.microplex.com/~csd/atlantisv2/ ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 10 Oct 1995 15:50:00 +1000 (EST) From: Robert Henley <rhenley@st.nepean.uws.edu.au> Subject: telportation atlantis? is anyone telportiong units out of and into atlantis city if so whate are the prices. Transferring of the money via a portal requires : 1) Two mages in different areas 2) Both with the create portal spell 3) Both with the Portal Object (ie created the same turn) 4) Two turns to simply move the units around 5) The same again to move the units back and 6) Costs of transportation of units. This effectively menas that it is more costly to do this (four turns and transport costs) which is nowhere near the simplistic use of the UNCLAIM order. UNCLAIM is far too powerful a utility than the Portal for transporting money. (Refer to the points I mention) Any more comments, mail me (No Flames please..!!) We teach mages in all skill areas, most to level 2 or higher. (Current levels: construct 2, body 2, nature 3, energy 3, all others level 1). We sell a variety of magic items for reasonable prices. We accept payment in silver, magic items, elven workers, and spells. (Sorry, we DON'T sell spells). WE HAVE ENERGY 3 AND NATURE 3 NOW AVAILABLE! Due to the rarity of level 3 in AC at this time, we are cheerfully extorting a higher rate of 50 silver/mage for training in either energy or nature. Training in the magical arts costs a mere $25 silver per mage. Payment in spells, elves, and magic items is negotiable. To be trained: 1) Declare faction 822 friendly. 2) Transfer 25 or 50 silver/mage to unit 5520. 3) Send email to bobhayes@oz.net saying what unit # is studying what foundation. 4) Study the appropriate foundation skill. ALSO AVAILABLE: MAGIC ITEMS Gloves of Strength - 250 silver Enchanted Wagons - 250 silver (you provide wagon) Potions of Healing - 250 silver for 10 potions Picks of Mining - 250 silver Helms of Observation- 250 silver We can produce as many as 5/month for factions on the warpath or preparing for a major move. Send email to bobhayes@oz.net with your desires and a detailed quote will be returned. Article Unavailable Up
