To help in combat. :) It's not a general KP skill. Instead consider it similar to combat sense but only for select weapons/skills. Here's a breakdown of what it does. Martial arts helps with doing damage with spiked gauntlet, fists, and kicks. I think it also helps in the amount of damage you can parry with fist/spiked gauntlet. Also if you are attacking with the fist it helps reduce the amount of damage you take when an opponent parries with a weapon. Level 3 is necessary for Sure Strike. Martial arts increases the number of kicks you can do. For every level in Martial arts it adds 3 kicks to max # of uses of kick skill. Kick skill follows normal progression of # of uses (2 at trained, +1 per level there after). I think these numbers are right, haven't used kick for awhile. > > Is it worthwhile? > I think it's too hard to split the character design between being a martial arts type and a normal fighter type. The characters who seem to make the best martial art types are the ones who use it extensively in their combats, while the fighters who become very proficient in their weapons use their weapons almost exclusively. It seems hard to mix the 2 and still have a good character. So it's worthwhile if it's the character design, otherwise I wouldn't suggest it. I know that it's usually easier to hit creatures with a kick then a weapon, so many characters once they get to a decent power level get a low level in kick and martial arts to help fight things like spiders. > What happens as you go up in level? Look above. I'm not sure if the height you can kick is drastically affected by level in MA. From my experience it looked like the level had almost no affect on how high your character could kick (relative to your characters height). Maybe someone with a character who has a VERY high level in MA could comment further on this. > > What is the current high level? > Don't know.
