In regards to Scott T.'s comments on controlling Faerie vs. controlling
castles:

It is a _lot_ easier to get a castle and some land than it is to get safe
access to Faerie.  Also, a castle does not allow quick travel to and from
every contenent in the game.  Finally, I do not believe that it is
possible to teleport troops directly into Faerie like it is to a castle
(making sneak attacks far less likely).  So, the argument is not that
Faerie should be *eliminated*, but that it should be made a little less
safe and powerfull.  These seem like reasonable ideas.

As for why someone doesn't just "take Faerie away":

There is the above reason of it's security.  Also, who in the game can, or
will ever be allowed to, muster the power to take it away.  With access to
every continent, it would be relatively easy to have spies that would spot the
amassing of a force large enough to be a threat, then teleport a few
hundred dragons to the location of the build-up and kill it before it
ever starts.

I am not faulting the players for taking advantage of the way Faerie
works (I'd do the same).  However, I would have to agree that it is _way_
too nice as it exsists now.
