ATLANTISv2 atl-players-digest #168 From: csd@microplex.com (Christian Daudt) Date: Wed, 08 Nov 1995 00:00:00 +0000 Errors to csd@microplex.com Now there should be a digest whenever (a) there are 10 emails or (b) whenever there is an email waiting for more than 48 hours for a digest to be completed. So don't get worried if the digest has only 1 or 2 emails, that just means the list has been slow. (I hope it works) If you want previous versions, they are available via WWW at http://www.microplex.com/~csd/atlantisv2/ ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 07 Nov 1995 10:21:31 -0500 (EST) From: Glenn Harvel <harvelg@candu.aecl.ca> Subject: Re: UPS On Tue, 7 Nov 1995, Dave Mack McGaw wrote: > Yep! Or am I the only idiot who spamms it? Well, seeing as I'm here, time to clear a few points up : ===================== Global Spells Syndicate ------------------------ The Spells Syndicate has finally gone public, those of you who have grabbed myspell info already know this, but those that haven't read on. The higher level spells are still kept confidential, but you can get as much info as is humanly possible by mailing me with the subject headers of either : SPELL_LIST ; for my current list of spells, SPELL_FILE ; for the spell descriptions available to you. It is totally automated so you can either put a message in the mail or leave it blank. ====================== UPS --- Due to an overwhelming response to the UPS, I have sort of been out of commision by flying out charters. The next available is not this turn, or the next, but the one straight after. First person to ask me for the charter gets it! It's that simple, no preferences, no bidding, first come first served. If I don't have a charter (praise the lord!) I'll run the "Exit Flight". Mail me with the subject line of the place you'd like to go to and the number of weight units you'd send through (cost $1 per weight unit) and I'll run the vote. EG : You want to send through 3 men (30 units) and a horse (20 units) to Larkanth put this in your mail header : Larkanth 50 and I'll sort it out from here! ============== Portals ------- In order to run this service for the populous, I am still on the scrounge for portals. I'll pay you $150 for each portal you can give me. Freelance Mages are the best!!! =================== This is basically it! Wrong again! The Republic of Rome was never overrun - it fell apart from Civil war. But only after conquering all of the Medditeranean. The Empire was overrun - and even that was only 500 years after it's inception. Unfortunate that we don't have a Pompeius Magnus to take care of our pirates for us. 8-) On the other hand, that might be good too... > Never surrender, maybe, but cowardly retreat from Sorisdale is certainly in > their strategy books. That is up to them - I prefer to run away to fight another day. :-) Getting our soldiers killed in unwinnable battles is NOT in my Strategy books. > > Where you've got the idea that we are leaving your shores, I don't know. > > An entire Legion of my best stormtroopers are already on the forest > > moon...
