AG: Rat Tunnel, etc.

Hit the Ciston Rat Tunnel with two fighters about 1100 power each, 350
power elf and a healer at level 8.  Had Bumble go in without a helmet and
with a lvl 1 shield (This made a HUGE difference).  4 of 5 encounters
mixtures of Rats, the other was Spiders.  Gold = 17 gc apiece, two 200 +
gc items found total.  Pooled experience and still picked up 52 EP each
by clearing all encounters.

Now, for the nitty-gritty.  Do not take groups larger than four.  Be sure
to place a fighter at pos. 0.  Why?  Because, there are rooms (we hit
two) that are shaped like hour glasses with their narrowest part being
1-2 squares across.  Your back is toward one of the bulbs, your front to
the other.  In our adventure, some of the nastier opponents started
behind pos. 0.  Our poor Elf and Healer got stomped in these.  Meanwhile,
Bumble was sandwiched between the other fighter and the Elf&Healer with
nowhere to go until the Elf&Healer were incapacitated.  Our final battle
had Bumble and the other fighter attacking for a combined 120+ attacks.
Bumble had to defend 30+ times in this encounter.  Thus, even a lvl 1
shield is very important.

Other stuff,

Minor Vampires have high regeneration.  Saw one get back up after
incapacitation in that final rat encounter.

If you are being strangled, then you can attack from the ground.  Hungry
was tripped and then strangled by a Burly Cyclops.  While on the ground,
she punched him with her spiked gauntlet.

Level one weapons can overcome weapon resistance.  Bumble did this twice
against enchanted rats with her 5 wsp medium shield.
