Borden and a few zillion others: "Once a potential member of this religion gets an amulet of Canaar, they must adventure to the Temple of Canaar at any Difficulty Level, there to meet and swear devotion to their (new) god. Those devoting to him are given access to a different adventuring site through the Temple's nexus gate and are quested to find five wands which will release Canaar from his mprisonment." (from Miss E. B.'s "Rules for Successful Adventuring.") This is confirmed by comments to the affect of: once you adventure in the Temple of Canaar proper, the nexus gate will distinguish between those who carry His Amulet and the others who want to hit the regular cursed Temple site. You don't have to specifically say where you're going at the Temple (either to Devote or cause havoc): it will figure it out on it's own.... Up
