[PBEM News] The Secrets Of Maylara From: mnjhoober@aol-dot-com.no-spam.invalid (littleboyblue) Date: Fri, 09 Mar 2007 03:54:22 +0000 Maylara. A world of wars, magic, and mystical beings. This adventure takes place in a homebrewn world, strongly based on D&D 3.5 editions. Characters can be of any Core race and core class. Any other type of PC must be approved by me first. Characters are to be made using the standard point buy system, 38 points. Each character starts with 1,000gp to buy starting equipment and items. Players start at level one, with 300 xp. Please provide a background noting some type of previous exploreing the character has done. The opening scene, that you need to end your back ground by posting to, is as follows. You enter the Lizard's eye tavern, which is packed but the only one open this time of night due to recent attacks by creatures from the towns graveyard, looking for a empty seat you scan the taverns inhabitants. You note that everyone, execpt for a single table, is fear struck and being unrealisticly quiet. Walking to the bar the only sounds that are heard are those of your own footsteps and the slight slurping of ale. Ordering your own at a whisper you take a seat at a table near the back, the only one occupied without a nervous look about it. Upon sitting down an elf leaning against the back wall, wearing a pale green tunic over a sturdy looking breastplate. His legs protected by a tough leather. A large metal shield stands up against the wall next to him, his long sword unsheathed, laying on his lap. He asks "I take it you haven't heard yet." He looks at you with a serious face. "I can tell because neither has anyone else sitting here with me, and your not struck with fear like the rest of this town." He sits properly at the table now, finishing his ale. "Let me fill you in, lately the graveyard, near the White Temple, has been producing zombies and other undead creatures during the night. The city watch were killed off last night, and everyone execpt these dedicated drinkers are scared out of their minds to come outside doors after sundown." He points his fingers at his chest "I'm setting out tommorow night to get rid of these vial beings." With a small sigh he looks around the table "I'll need some help, would you be willing to put your life on the line to help save this town, and maybe find something of value in the crypts, underneath the city? Become a hero and be known throughout Maylara?" The elf leans back up against the wall, calling a waitor for another ale, waiting for a response. Please email me with character sheets and questions, mnjhoober(at)aol(dot)com I'm looking for a large group, but when i get enough to make a decent party i'll be starting, at that time i'll make a new post saying that i've started, and whether or not i'm still accepting characters. So as long as this is my newest post, i'm still open for new players. Thank you Marty -- posted from PBEM News - PBEM listings and announcements Reply to this post at http://www.pbemnews.org Up
