SEATTLE: PBM FRP Gamer needed! From: davester@oz.net (David Adams) Date: Fri, 15 Dec 1995 00:00:00 +0000 I need an ally. Someone I can pour over maps with, discuss strategy with, discuss RULING THE EMPIRE WITH face to face! Let me introduce myself. I'm Dave. I play in a PBM game based on Lords of the Earth, but with MAGIC. (I've appended an old flier I made about 6yrs ago about LotE to the end of this message - I have a GIF of a current flier for Cruenti Dei on-line if you want) The game is called Cruenti Dei. There are currently 2 continents with about 25 player countries in each. One is called Tarbyr, the other, Priban. Tarbyr is anarchist, Priban is an Empire. I run the Empire position. Most of the other players in Priban want my position. If they were me, could they do a better job? Maybe, maybe not. There is one position in the game available and it's a good one. It's second in power to my own. I have claimed it for a friend of mine. That friend can be you (if my other friend backs out - either way, you need to contact me soon)!!! If you want to be my in-Seattle ally (yeah, I know it's a PBM, but hey, If you can do it without long distance bills, more power to ya!), send me email. If you want to know more about the game, send me email. If you want to join a game (of LofE or CD) I can get you in touch with TPTB. BTW, I used to run 3 Lords games - it's been around for about 10-12 years now. Dave D O Y O U W A N T T O R U L E T H E W O R L D ? Do you want to: * Lead Armies in Conquest * Build Mighty Empires * Make Alliances * Conduct Research * Get Rich in Trade * Spread Your Religion * Humiliate Your Enemies * Backstab Your Friends * Rule the Waves * Conquer the World If so, then We Want You! for the incredible game /-------------------------------------------\ T H E L O R D S O F T H E E A R T H \-------------------------------------------/ (copyright Thomas Harlan, 1985) an historical simulation of the entire world, from 1000ad to the present --- and beyond! YOU build and command armies, YOU plan your strategies, YOU make alliances, YOU build great cities; YOU control an entire nation! Lords of the Earth is a complex, intriguing, (dare I say it?) educational, and FUN game about people, power, war, trade, and diplomacy. It is played by mail, by roughly 30 players, and run by a Game Master. It's cheap, too, costing only $3.50 per turn, with only one turn every 4-6 weeks. Sound slow? Ha! Wait 'til the Mongol Hordes overrun your nation -- you'll think time passes swiftly enough! Dave -- davester@oz.net Up
