AG: Disarming From: Todd Woods <woods@cs.uiowa.edu> Date: Wed, 10 Jan 1996 00:00:00 +0000 No I don't have any new info on disarming. Just an observation. It seems the usefulness of skills have gone up. Can't disarm someones Headbutt, nor they're Kick, TailWhip, etc. If a person only has a high level in their weapon then they're in real trouble. There's always someone higher (even if just a creature) so new/young characters might want to start planning to make their characters multi-faceted. Also, I'd be willing to bet you can't disarm the fist (DUH!), as well as the buckler (it's strapped to the arm!), or the spiked gauntlet (how do you disarm a glove?). Might be a good idea to learn one of these weapons in case a character is suddently without a weapon. Also does anyone know how easy it is to pick up a weapon after someone has disarmed you? And if you're disarmed do you use the same strategy, i.e. attack with the (probably low level) fist instead of switch to the offhand weapon/secondary skill/pick up weapon? If you're disarmed do you have to pick up a weapon? An elf using spells may rather choose to use the action to cast a spell then pick up a lost weapon (assuming it is possible to pick up a weapon in combat). Later, Todd Referenced By Up
