Claemor Entertainment From: claemor@aol.com (Claemor) Date: Sun, 14 Jan 1996 00:00:00 +0000 A CLAEMOR ENTERTAINMENT INC. Update Highlander: The Play-By-Mail game from Claemor Entertaiment... Though we had hoped to be in full operation by now, a number of items continue to hold us up. Most notably are the approval processes which are taking much longer than anticipated (all materials are required to go through a USA-to-Paris approval gambit that continues to drag out). Another delay is the fact that Highlander: The Play-By-Mail is to be based on the Highlander Role Playing Game rules from Thunder Castle Games. The ship date for the Highlander: RPG continues to move back into 1996 which means more delays for us. Though we are only basing the PBM loosely on the RPG, there is enough cross-over to warrant a nearly simultaneous release. We thank all of you for your patience as we finish up the design, creation, and implementation of Highlander: The PBM. All of you who have requested start-up information will be receiving it shortly. Those of you who have submitted your character sheets for the beta turns can expect materials soon, though we apologize for the continued delays. There will be some changes in the character generation process that may warrant re-creation on the part of some of you, but you will be given detailed instriuctions at that time. As before, we will distribute a postal mailing detailing our delays so that you are all in the loop. We can assure you that this game has proven to be very fun to play and will be well worth the wait, we just have a few more hurdles to go. We are still targeting a January date for beta test to begin with full operation shortly thereafter. Most of it, however, is not in our hands any longer. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Thanks for sticking with us on this one. Watch this space for more updates. The Fantasy Arena from Claemor Entertainment... Nominated for Best New Play-By-Mail of 1993 by GAMA, TFA has been completely reworked and is back in action for 1996! Set in the fantasy realm of Arachann, TFA allows players to pit fantasy warriors in single combat. Our computer combat program has been totally reworked and is generating fantastic outputs. At the moment, TFA is a paper-only postal mail game, but plans are in the works for an full email version later this year. Those of you who contacted us back at the end of 1994 and are awaiting your game manuals and start-up information, the wait is over. Watch your mailbox! If you are interested in participating in either game, we have free start-up kits available for the asking. Simply email Claemor@aol.com with your postal address for free start-up and introductory rules for either The Fantasy Arena or Highander: The PBM (or both). We will mail them right out. We look forward to hearing from you! Up
