Not only do we control our home continent of Nairnica, but we also have significant holdings on all of the continents within a few months sailing of our home land. But the spell will get out of mages' hands. Once released, the winter will last not one, not three, not six months but all long three years. It will be the terrible winter - Fimbulwinter. The air will congeal to water, the water to ice, the ice to the diamond. After the three terrible years, Bifrost, the bridge to ACgard, will be open. ACgard will be protected no more and hords from all the Atlantis World will begin their march to slay the mages of ACgard. Along with hungry peasants will march stone giants from Jotunheim, together with bloody orcish armies will go fire ogres from Muspellheim and at the head of the hosts there will fly the most wicked wizards of all times - Great Muff, Myspulin and Fifinka - escaped from eternal torments of Niffelheim. The mages of ACgard will gather their servants and set forth to stop them. The armies will meet on the field of Vigrid, the desert plain around Jaca City. And there a battle will take place. While the representatives have variously described the talks as "heated", "quite verbal", "bordering on violent", and "difficult, yet rewarding," each of them seems hopeful that positive changes lie ahead. Representatives from the Sledmere Common Interest Organization (SCIO), PolyChromatic Pirates (PCP), New Atlantis Alliance (NAA), and the Imperial Union of Nairn (IUN) began meeting last month after unofficial discussions between the NAA and IUN representatives led to the idea of SATO. While the details remain to be determined, SATO may initially serve to facilitate the exchange of map data, to define internationally accepted national borders, and to provide a forum for open international communication. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Whatever happened to ABSTAIN?
