MiliTech v1.0b From: Apex Games <apex@blarg.net> Date: Sat, 02 Mar 1996 00:00:00 +0000 Apex Games has completed version 1.0 (beta) of its "Militech" play-by-email strategy game. Many new features have been added to make the game both more enjoyable and easier to play. Militech involves designing and using bots, conducting research, and managing resources. Victory may be achieved by military conquest, economic superiority, or territory claims (though often these will coincide). The alpha-test game used software versions 0.8 or so (it increased throughout the course of the game), and was completed in January. We are grateful to our alpha testers; their input has been critical in improving the game. Many of their suggestions have been incorporated into v1.0. A free beta-test game will be starting in several weeks; stay tuned for an announcement.
