Well now I really am confused. Of course none of us want to see the
'You Too Can Get Rich Kwik' posts that are scattered across the
network like confetti. Your complaint to me seemed to be that my post
about Summit Socccerleague fell into this category which was grossly
unfair.

So according to these 'traditions' it's OK to advertise the game once
then is it as long as you don't repeat it?? Or, its OK to say "try
Summit Soccerleague it's a good football management PBM game" but it's
NOT OK to say "Hey people... Summit Soccerleague is simply such a
brilliant game to play that your whole life is gonna fall apart whilst
you are waiting for the postman to deliver your next set of
results!!!"

Nobody is twisting your words  it's just that nobody understands what
it is you are trying to say. I'm afraid its NOT OK to merely state 'I,
Greg Lindahl, say you can't do this or that because it's ermmmm.....
tradition!'

All of this comes about because of the extremely arrogant email you
sent me after I had posted just ONE ad for Summit Soccerleague on
this, a newsgroup dedicated to exactly such games! If you are prepared
to set yourself up as the Mighty Overseer of this Newsgroup then you'd
better be prepared to take the criticism that goes with it and not
just trot out tired old cliches about FAQ's and traditions.
