I disagree.  I don't want to download people's advertising.  I haven't seen
the original post, so i don't know if it was obnoxious or not, but i am
willing to trust greg's judgement until i do see it.

Really?  When has he said "use it or else"?  I think you are putting words
in his mouth.  Currently Mr Lindahl is the faq maintainer for this group,
and keeps a list of games.  If someone wants info about a pbm game, get the
list, that's what it is for.  If you don't like his list, start your own,
but don't encourage advertising.

It's not laws, it's courtesy.  Advertising here is rude.

Mr Lindahl can't stop anyone from posting to this group, so there is no
"let" about it.

Advertising is obnoxious, steps to prevent or reduce it are good.
