One of the things that is really starting to piss me off is the disgusting
overuse of friendly codes as a method for special missions. VGAP 3.1x
had about a dozen of them (NTP, ATT/NUK, NAL, msc, mdX, miX, etc),
which was manageable, but with all of the addon FC's and new Host FC's
(bum, for one? I don't use host 3.2x yet so I don't know many of them
offhand, but I do know from reading this newsgroup that the FC's haven't
slowed down) that the Friendly Code slot is quickly being overcome
and modified into a Special Mission slot.

This is ridiculous, folks! FRIENDLY CODES are ship passwords!
Security systems! NOT for special missions!

What needs to be done is that Tim needs to redo the Missions menus.
Currently there is only Mission 1-0, how hard would it be to use
mission A-Z as well? Or perhaps submenus? (Mission A: Gather.
A smaller menu pops up... 1 Neutronium, 2 Tritanium, etc). You
get the idea.

This would allow you to have ship-particular missions (Cloak is already
one such mission), race-particular missions (Mission 9 is one), etc,
AND YOU WOULD GET TO USE FC's FOR THEIR ORIGINAL PURPOSE AGAIN!
(What a concept!)

Anyway, I had some other ideas that went along with this for
redoing VGAP in a more sensible manner but I can't think of them
at the moment.
