I'd have to point out to both of you that downloading and what
some magazine said has absolutely nothing to do with what's "better",
since there are so many people out there with different preferences.
VGAP is ranked where it's at because it was the most publicized and best
game in its class at the time.  I'm not knocking VGAP at all.  When I
first played it, I was up ALL night playing it, and sent my check off
first thing in the morning.  And I was faithful for many years when I was
doing the BBS thing.  Then I sort of fell out of it.  About a year later,
I started to get back into the gaming stuff, and heard about Stars!  I
refused to use Windows for anything, until I learned that I needed it to
run ANY kind of browser...  sigh ...   So, since I had no other choice, I
 decided to give Stars! a try.  I was even more impressed... it's a well
written game, with faithful users and programmers.

That's a load of crap.  Now who's "not taking the time to fully
understand it"?  You're so convinced that VGAP is "da King", that you're
not giving anything else a chance.  Quite frankly, I think this thread
needs to die, since you're going to have your preference, he's going to
have his, and I'm going to have mine.  What do you care if they're not
the same?
