[PBEM News] DnD 3.5 - "The Cathedral of Galvanya"

Hey all,

I'll be quick. I'm setting up a play by email DnD game. There's going
to be a pretty strong emphasis on action, but it's still plot driven,
and I'm looking for players interested in both RP opportunities and
solid action. Here's the basics:

In Character:
- You're a young adventurer, drawn to a small village on the edge of
Zan'Zir's Sand Plains. There, as is the tradition, they're holding
the Festival of Galvanya. It's become something of a tourist draw,
but by and large, the locals still take the Festival very seriously.
They throw so much fan fare and energy into it that travellers come
from the world over to indulge in the rich history and tradition of
the spectacles. It's a two week festivity, and it happens every four
years. Nearing the end of the festival, as many of the people pack up
and head to their homes the world over, many of the town folk seem a
little unsettled. It seems that the festival didn't go quite to plan,
although they're doing a good job of concealing that fact ...

Out of Character:
- Posts by me will be twice a week, and more if I can / necessary.
Expect posts on Tuesday and Friday.
- Characters are 1st level, 32 pt buy (all stats start at 8), max
starting gold and HP, no special equipment at startup.
- Anything out of the PHB, DM is automatically allowed. Any other
sourcebook is possible, but I need to approve it first (on a
case-by-case basis).
- No evil alignments.
- All standard DnD alignments exist, although this will be a
"homebrew" world, to be developed as we play.
- Character death is a definite possibility.
- Played over yahoogroups (unless a better alternative comes up).
