Elves in melee, anyone? Good luck. :-) Many players have complained to Hugh about this. So far the system hasn't changed. BB -lvl 18 Isurus, forgot the path setting. :-) It was the path setting that yields hobgoblins, Night Cult, undead, bug encounters. Both went solo. I get more consistent results solo. :) > >>If the character is averaging 100+ ep an adventure > > Who ARE these people??? There aren't many (any?) that average that much, though I (and others) have had characters gain 100+ep an adventure. From my experience it's usually groups that can pull down this much, I don't know of many solo adventurers that can do this (just can't generate powerful enough creatures for that amount of ep solo). > > >>if the character averages more like 80 ep > > ..them, too??? BB and Morin. :) I know other characters that have gotten that much. Basically it's how good is the character vs. the creatures you fight at a particular site. BB (human cheater pig) is much better at fighting a variety of creatures then Morin (Speed combat elf, however funny that may be). BB goes to Isurus, Canaar, and Dead Hills. Morin goes mostly to Skree (although lvl 2 BC looked pretty good this turn). >> -Aelwon Findelvos, > 25 WSPs in starting weapon and not overly concerned about it > (but would really like a 99 ep adventure) > I'm certainly not overly concerned with wsps. Both of my characters are at 25 wsps. I did make sure their strategy doesn't require high wsps (ones a human stat monster and the other is an elf using Speed and a great axe). But I know many straight fighter types that aren't blessed with good stat multiples or cheap spell raises and can't gain a wsps to save their life. It's a problem and should be fixed (and the fact that my characters would benefit from the change has no influence on my advocacy for the change ;-). I definitely DO have an FTP site set up for people to download my map of Isurus. I believe its accessible at ftp://users.aol.com/mikeaphl, but I could be wrong. Again, let me know if any of you have problems with the download, or can correct my instructions. Presently, I have Mike Wesler(Shocker/Jiblet) and Aelwon Findelvos(ID 898) on my list of maps to be sent via Hugh through the mail. I might have to send them all that way, if I can't figure out why no one can download the info. If you DO download, again, remember to download the Intro also. At the last encounter to BC lvl 2 (a bunch of Red Chaos Beetles) Morin had a 27 adv. score (alot of retreats and dropped a couple of times). In that last encounter Morin attacked 125 times (didn't even go into desperate, new record for # of attacks in single encounter without desperate fighting?). He hit most of the time but he had a terrible time wounding them. Total of 8 successful attacks, 4 of which were kicks. <SURPRISE> Most of the non-kick attacks were with his (singly) enchanted great axe. The wpn resistance on those creatures seem to require at least a doubly enchanted wpn to get through the majority of the time. Almost all of Morin's 125 attacks hit, just didn't wound. There were no traps/locked doors, etc, after the fight. Morin's adv. score after the encounter was 86. So his adv. score went up 59 pts from that last encounter. Makes me think that adv. score goes up one point for every 2 successful attacks (not necessarily wounding) that a character has during the adventure. Can anybody confirm/deny this with their experiences?
