I've designed a new "action" PBEM with the intention of capturing the feel of movies such as Hard Boiled and Desperado - ie shooting wildly with a pistol in each hand while jumping, running and doing all kinds of unbelievable maneuvers. Each players will control a small "squad", the number of members depending on how "skilled" they are - ie your "squad" might consist of just one character, if it [no he/she discrimination here (-:] is fast, hits all the time and carries two sub-machine guns and a bag of grenades. :) The demands put on anyone wanting to parcipitate is: 1] You must be able to check your mailbox at least once per day (though turns will probably only be every two or three days, perhaps not even that often) 2] You must be able to read *some* kind of bitmap format (I can convert to most formats), *some* kind of archiving system (ie zip, gnuzip, arj etc - again, I can convert to most system) and of course be able to get attached files. This was originally meant to be a tabletop system and so "maps" will be sent each turn. 3] Uh, well, that's about it.
