The Monstrous Infinitus Fetish supposedly allows the PL's of monsters to be calculated like they used to be (i.e. it's NOT based on the highest pl character in the group, rather total pl's of all characters in group). Also some stuff about the Mephitic Caves. First yes you need an Obsidian Bat Figurine to get into it (write UnderCity for the Site). The little sucker comes to life, emits a screech which opens a hole in the wall, it goes in and you follow it. Went lvl 10, 905. The rooms/encounters were #1 Rats #4 Trap #5 Nothing #7 Spiders #14 Rats and Vampires #15 Rats (shallow water) #16 Trap #17 Rats and Vampires The adventure was fairly easy and profitable. 63 ep, 800 gold, 11 kp, 83 score (darn traps), and decent treasure. Although Rats don't usually have much treasure Vampires aren't too bad in that department. Lvl 10-12 would probably be a decent lvl for groups, 12-14 for solo's. The encounters got MUCH tougher as the adventure proceeded. First encounter was a single Rat Demon. Last encounter was 2 Rat Demons, 2 Minor Vampires, and Enormous Rat. The hardest (for BB) though was the second encounter (2 Large Wolf Spiders, darn poison). The rooms were interesting. The first encounter area was a one space wide corridor with alcoves on the sides. You start out inside the room with the possibility of a creature(s) starting out in the alcoves to your sides/rear. In encounter area 14 there were areas of deep water BB couldn't go through, had to go around. BB also had creatures start out behind him in encounter area #17 (the last one). Seems to me that the last few encounter areas are a straight line out (14-15-16-17-end) and you have to go through the first encounter area, so more then likely you'll have 2 encounter areas where creatures can start out behind you. Finally Brain Rot. BB got it at lvl 1. I have no idea how (unless you can get it from Dark Wolves or traps now). It drains KP. At lvl 1 it took 6 KP. You still gain your normal KP though. Speaking of diseases it will probably take BB a couple of turns to get rid of the Brain Rot. Anybody willing to Cure him next turn if he can't get rid of it? My first (of two) characters is a minotaur, and it's been an arduous climb up to the heights of mediocrity. I've pretty much given up on having dex and cunning, so if "speed kills"... I'm dead. Why gut head butt? Minotaurs literally have NOTHING else. Being rather strong for my PL, I've found Push a MUCH more effective short range weapon than Head Butt... but of course, Push isn't a racial skill, is it? As for the "benefits" of the Minotaur Bracer, I don't think cost to raise of 4-8-3-6 really puts a minotaur in the league of a human.goblin.elf, or dwarf. Give us a break with the head butt... we're so weak as it is, and I really want to stick out the Minotaur curse. OK, I'm through venting... I'll slip back under that rock minotaurs go to after receiving thier turn reports... any comments?
