New: Magic Firefly (free, open-ended, email, human, fantasy, rpg) From: donotreply@pbm.com (PBM List Autoposter) Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2007 07:13:02 +0000 Name: Magic Firefly Costs: free Email: sharlene79 zat mindspring.com Frequency: Daily (at least on my part) IP: 70.10.160.4 Type: Fantasy, Victorian Sci Fi. Last-Update: 2007Jun10 Keywords: free, open-ended, email, human, fantasy, rpg Description: Welcome to the Magic Firefly. This is a fantasy game that revolves about the adventures of a small freighter of a technomagic design. (If you ever saw the animated movies, Treasure Planet or Odin: Photon Sailor Starlight, you will have an idea of the sort of ship I mean.) The current technology is somewhat Victorian or Jules Vernish. The laws of physics are a bit different along a basis that supports magic and faith. The universe consists of dozens of planetoids and island worlds. Across these planetoids are scattered numerous races. While elves and dwarves exist, they are not quite the classic Middle Earth versions (or Fey) that most players are accustomed to. There are no Lunar-based shapeshifters. And sorry, no undead as PCs. Beyond that, feel free to create new races. I have felines, canines, saurians, and humanoids. I also have aliens that look like demons. Real demons are something altogether different. The universe is filled with hundreds of worlds and as many races. There are Gods, Demons, Dragons and Unlife. In this universe the space between worlds is mostly filled with a breathable atmosphere mostly. Yes, it will be possible to stand on deck and feel the wind on your face. Of course, gravity may be a problem For character design I will be looking for balance with an eye for adventure. Note race, physical description, age (apparent or otherwise), professions, hobbies, interests and goals. Your description should include a version to be posted on the group site for other players to read so they can get a first impression. Please no eternal warriors, gods, veterans of a thousand wars, I dont mind experience in a character, but keep it modest. NOTE: This game is rated M for Mature. While not for porn, there will be few restrictions on language, dress codes or graphic violence. If you are an adult, you dont have to ask what is going on behind that door. And with the group site ratings, youll have to keep those Adult settings behind that door. This game will expect posting levels of 4-5 posts per week of strong writing standards. Yahoo IM will be useful for those wishing to run joint posts. [ This is a new entry for the PBM List.
