You control a family in either the main city, vying for political power, or in one of the 'peregrine' powers, trying to build your nation. (There are options for slave revolts and barbarian invasions.) The game is run in real time, one ancient year (ten months of the Kalends, Nones and Ides) takes a real month. Players gain an order per day and can stockpile these to submit a turn whenever they wish. We pride ourselves in our playability and historical accuracy, one of our designers has a Phd in Ancient Roman history. Every aspect of the Ancient World is covered: family, politics, legal (players can propose and pass their own laws which adjust the game), religion, games and circuses, civil life, military and economics. It's fully computer moderated and our turnaround is a couple of days. Company: Interesting Times 160 Beaumont Road Bournville, Birmingham. B30 1NY UK Referenced By Up
