I haven't noticed that much "advertising" per se (but I have an
extensive subject-oriented killfile)... it's the digests and
newsletters and whatnot that are surely (1) only of interest to
the players who (2) probably get them by mail anyway that bother
me... my killfile is good, but it doesn't save me the *download*
time.
