Atlantis 3.0 DOS Based GUI From: bwb22950@cc.utah.edu (Bryce Bangerter) Date: Thu, 07 Nov 1996 00:00:00 +0000 Hey all those playing Atlantis 3.0 or 2.0 - I have developed a DOS based GUI for entering turn orders. It still needs a bit of beta testing for 3.0, but works pretty well with 2.0. (The reason for this is I'm playing in 2.0, and thus have access to multiple turn reports for 2.0) From reports so far, it works fine with small A3 files, but chokes on big ones. Some of the features of the turn editor include default orders, automatic distribution of things like swords, armor, or any other user defined item to those units that need it (like swords to combat trained troops, etc). Automatic distribution of silver for study purposes. Maximized teach usage. i.e. - if a single teacher has combat and stealth skill and he is teaching 5 students combat, the program will attempt to find 5 more students that are studying either combat or stealth at a lower skill than the teacher. And lastly, customizable commands so you can create your own commands and icons whenver you discover new spells and what not. Anyway, if you are interested you can pick it up either from Geofss home page, or email me and I will send you a uuencoded zip file. BTW, I did finally get a hold of a large A3 turn report and will begin testing on it, so hopefully it will be fully functional for A3 sometime next week.
