[PBEM News] Looking for a game From: greyguy3@hotmail-dot-com.no-spam.invalid (Shadowcatcher) Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2007 03:33:36 +0000 Hi! I'm looking to try a PBEM game. I haven't done this before aside from a very short campaign that I GM'd, but I have loads of gaming experience (like 30 years). I'm primarily interested in fantasy campaigns, although I'm not choosy about the time period. Superheroes are good, space is OK if I don't have to spend too much time thinking about and looking through lists of futuristic gadgets. I prefer to have the option of running a character who is some way extraordinary, even if only a small way. I don't mind campaigns that are loosely based on extant works, but I don't want to have to watch or read a TV or book series in order to know what's going on in the campaign. I don't want to roleplay Bilbo Baggins or Luke Skywalker or for that matter take over someone else's character. I've been playing GURPS for the last decade or so, and have noticed that all the popular games are now different than when I started playing GURPS. I'm willing to learn a new system but would prefer to not spend more than about $20 or $25 or have to buy a library of books, which I'm afraid leaves AD&D 3.5 out, although I could do earlier versions. -- posted from PBEM News - PBEM listings and announcements Reply to this post at http://www.pbemnews.org Referenced By Up
