Hundreds of thousands of ALF flyers were also dropped from hovercraft in key manufacturing areas, frightening many into not going to work. Dozens of large factories and plants remained closed while investigators from the Imperial Bomb Squad checked for explosive devices, but none were found. No statement from the ALF has been received, yet investigators are certain that it is their handiwork based on forensic evidence. DATELINE Deneb - The planet Zephyr suffered an unusually strong series of space storms in local quads resulting in an increase in beta radiation waves. The storms also caused severe withering and mutation to over 12 billion bushels of Zephyr corn, beans and pongoo roots, a staple of the Zephyr diet. "We are working hard in hydroponics to replace dead or dying plant with seedling plant.", said K'Tikar Romp, Zephyr Chief Scientist at Bongi-Torri Labs, a major hydroponics manufacturing facility and laboratory. Shortly thereafter, an unidentified assassin murdered Dratt, McNay and 23 other high office officials with a modified razorgun and an alien grenade-like weapon. The suspect also died in the attack. DATELINE Nunki - Three megafreighters with full cargoes of minerals and ores were stolen by dastardly pirates from the Hitari Shipyards on Ankara. The estimated value of the lost cargo is in the Billions of QPs, said one official estimate from the Imperial Bureau Of Alien Relations And Trade. The criminals also deleted the ships' registrations from all computer databases, so there is no record of any of the three vessels.
