Olympia G2 From: jhalpern@newbridge.com (Joel Halpern) Date: Thu, 30 Jan 1997 00:00:00 +0000 I saw the recent notice of the start of Olympia G2. This looks interesting, and I have a number of questions. 1) It looks like it would be very helpful to have the assistance of an experienced player in understanding the implications of some of the early choices. 2) although turns are run every week, if you have a predictable situation you can actually give orders in advance. (I travel a lot, so being able to do some of my planning/ordering in advance is helpful. 3) It looks like the early game will go slowly, but be interesting. More detailed, somewhat hypothetical questions: 1) If one is focussing on magic, one probably wants to save some NPs to use for learning additional magical skills 2) Again on magic, to advance far one will have to build/enter a tower 3) No matter what you are doing having someone who can do some exploration is likely to be helpful. 4) There are enough different useful noble skills that it probably pays to A) Have several nobles B) Have several players working together Comments and opinions are welcome. This looks like an interesting game. PS Is there a phone number I can call to give them a credit card? I do not like sending my credit card number by mail. For idiosynchratic reasons, I am currently still unwilling to do so even with Web security. -- Yours, Joel M. Halpern jhalpern@newbridge. Newbridge Networks Inc. Referenced By Up
