The answer is both yes and no. The character does receive any healing from *previous* wounds at the very beginning of the turn. See page 62 of the rulebook for order of events in a turn. But since Curses come later in the turn, 100 points of damage kills the character dead. The real importance of the healing factor (which sometimes includes double healing or healing spells) for the Curses mage comes when there are not enough points of Curses power (natural mage rank/2) to deliver 100 points of damage in a single turn. Then you have to allow for at least 14 points of healing at the beginning of the second turn. So don't count on killing your enemy in 2 turn with 50 points of Curses power.
