I find the natives to be a superstitious and ignorant lot, ripe for the scientific teachings of the Technologists. Perhaps we can lend some of our knowledge and understanding to the world, and dispel these myths of "Magic". I am startled to discover that the natives do not even know the size of their own continent; let us use the power of science to deduce the extent of Provinia. For the sake of ease, and because we do not know any better, let us assume that Provinia is shaped in the form of a perfect rectangle (we can adjust our assumptions later). From rumors that have sprung up, we can establish the corners of Provinia as: Northeast: [bs10] Southwest: [dm78] meaning the dimensions are 47 x 69, which is a total of 3243 provinces, or 32% of the entire surface of Olympia. Based on crude "maps" (I hesitate to even call the sketches I have seen maps) of Provinia, I think we can assume the Provinia is in fact a bit smaller than an exact rectangle, but larger than a diamond with the same North, East, South, and West bounds. Standing at the top of the market square, it was possible to see down the slope of the land to the harbor below, where scaffolding was already beginning to rise, harbringer of the ships that would soon be setting sail. One noble out of the many hurrying about their business paused at the highest point in the square. Pushing back the cowl of the dark cloak he wore, he studied the harbor laid out before him. A second man, quite a few years older and heavily scarred, stopped beside him. "Yer still ditermined ta' set a'sail right away." The second man rubbed a skull tattoo on the left side of his jaw absently as he spoke. "That's right, old friend," the first man nodded.
