Plague Kills Thousands On
Centaurus - Dr. Cesare Sandro,
a Terran, of the Imperial Bureau Of Medicine reported 138,287 deaths due
to a sudden breakout of Tetranoxia, a virulent plague that kills all who
are infected. The bug is spread through excessive use of telephones and
pay toilets. Quarantine cleanup crews are already on the scene, attempting
to eradicate the Tetra Virus before it spreads further. So far, only the
outskirts of Sintella Prime have been affected, a major technological
manufacturing and research center on the planet. Technology Production
toppled from 3.14 to 0.24. Public health officials are warning individuals
to "hold it in" until you can get to a familiar, private privy to avoid
contact with the germ.

Vast Wildfire Creates Ruin On
Spingle - A large and
uncontrolled inferno destroyed one of the galaxy's largest robotic
motivator manufacturers before being extinguished by planetary fire
services. Technology Production dropped from 9.66 to 6.90 as sudden demand
for parts rose dramatically. Motivators are used not only for robots, but
in starships, food processors and many other high-tech devices used by
citizens everywhere. The fire was apparently started by a young Brogian
hooligan who was experimenting on a dead loophian gopher he found while
hanging out in an alley.
