I missed your origional message.  If you are looking for a game that
can start off simple, but will expand to whatever level you wish to
attain, try Legends.  This is a D&D style game, where you can start
with a small group of characters, who through actions of their making,
can influence or conquer locations, or just about anything else.

The game is computer moderated, as a maximum of 200 players may
participate in any one game.  There are 5000 NPC characters in the
game, up to 3000 locations, 5000 guilds and marketplaces, all set in a
world of 130 x 80 grid.  Provinces are not owned, so any number of
characters, forces, etc may be present at one time.
