Why would he not know something about US law, just because he's writing
from the UK?!?  I bet if you think really really hard you know something
about the UK, even if you're writing from the US, don't you?!?  Some logic!

Dunno about US law (I'm only writing from the UK, how could I possibly?)
but I do know that there are indeed an awful lot of monopolies in the USA,
just as there are in every country in the world (particularly the Western
world).  And there have been for over a century, or much longer.

Economic monopoly is not defined by some pendantic notion of having 100% of
a market.  It's defined as one company having a dominating role within a
particular market - and hence Microsoft definitely qualifies as a monopoly.

The best bit though is - monopolies are GOOD!
