I think it's usually a case of "Well, I'm gonna do this anyway, and I've got more players than I can handle anyway, so I may as well make some pizza money." In the case of the Phoenyx, if we had to deal with collecting money we'd end up having to pay business rates for the phone lines rather than residential, so it's really not worth it. We may end up selling one or two of the in-house gameworlds as paper RPG's, but that's another for-the-love-of-it industry (unless you're TSR, and rumors about *their* health or lack thereof have been rampant recently. Or at least more rampant than usual). >And what *does* LOL mean??! "I'm From AOL And I Haven't Learned To Make Smilies Yet, But Boy When I Do I'll Put Five Of Them In Every Sentence." The full acronym is too long, so they just shorten it and tell people it stands for "Laughing Out Loud," and is the AOLism for ROFL. (I personally prefer ILSHIBAMF, but I've never seen it anywhere *but* in an acronym list, so I don't believe that anyone, even AOL'ers, uses it in actual net.conversation.) >Phil Shulkind >PHILDEE ENTERPRISES >Professional Play By Mail since 1990 >Wanna talk PBM?
