Free PBEM playtesters needed From: stevo@jonlan.demon.co.uk (Stephen Smith) Date: Sat, 26 Apr 1997 00:00:00 +0000 I'm looking for as many players as possible to help me playtest a very simple computer moderated PBEM game I've written. All you need is an email facility and MS-DOS. The game is very simple, so even if you've never played a PBEM before, you'll be fine. It's called Galactic Empire (a bit of a cliched name, so part of the playtesting will be thinking up a better one). It doesn't have any graphics, but is based mainly on displomacy. Each player controls an empire, and must destroy all the other empires. Full instructions and the program you need will be sent, obviously. The game is finished, but the "mechanics" just need a bit of tweaking. Game turnaround will be four days, ie. you receive the turn on a Monday, say, and send it back on Tuesday. I receive it Wednesday and send it out again Thursday. For you to receive Friday. S'okay? All offers of help are greatly appreciated. This game can handle a virtually unlimited amount of players, so everyone who replies is virtually guaranteed a place. Thanks in advance! -- Stephen Smith (stevo@jonlan.demon.co.uk) - Nothing REALLY matters. http://www.jonlan.demon.co.uk/spectrum Up
