Godfather Pro-Test Underway From: Juggernaut Press <juggernaut@tightbeam.com> Date: Wed, 14 May 1997 00:00:00 +0000 The email production test of Godfather is underway, with the second turn due Friday. There are 20 players in the game. There's also a mailing list devoted to the game, with frequent questions and comments from the players. I'll post occasional updates here. If any of you are interested in learning more about the game, you can download the rulebook from: http://www.tightbeam.com/godfather Godfather is a fully automated simulation of gangsters in Prohibition-era Chicago. It's much more than a simple shoot-em-up; players who emphasize combat over economic management and exploration (to find new rackets, of course!) will usually run afoul of Murder, Inc. or better-organized gangsters. If you've read the rules and you'd like to try the game, you can send email to: juggernaut@tightbeam.com and ask to be notified when the game is released commercially. (Note that we're only licensed to run the game for North American residents.) It's possible that a couple of stand-by positions may become available in the production test, so please indicate whether you'd be interested in taking over one of those positions (for free).
