We need to know! New PBEM game needs reviews and suggestions From: redfang@spamnlocker.prado.com (Casey Grimm) Date: Fri, 16 May 1997 00:00:00 +0000 Good morning! My name is Casey, and I'm working on... (Any guesses?) A NEW PLAY-BY-E-MAIL GAME! You may now reel in shock. (Use a fiberglass rod when reeling in shock. It will act tired, then at the last minute try to tear away from your hook, and most wooden rods will snap at the third eye) Anyway... It's called 2456, and you can get a great deal of information about it at http://www.2456.com It requires Windows 95, but will also work on Windows NT. Email about the KNOWN FACT that it does not run under DOS, Windows 3.1, Win32S, Linux, Solaris, or Berkely Unix will be summarily deleted. I even have a filter that sends such mail directly to the trash. All I'll see is a little boldface "Trash" logo to tell me that some poor fool sent me e-mail about which operating system it doesn't work on, and I'll snicker deviously and think to myself, "The fools!" For those who want to know before you surf: It's a closed-ended, five-player space war game. Currently, we are looking for the following types of input: Is it too simple? Too complicated? Are there too few players? There couldn't very well be too many... Is the viewer easy to use? What could make it easier? Are the rules too lopsided? Do we favor one player excessively? Is the game too slow? Should there be more turns? Should the game last longer? Well, there's more, but it's mostly game-balance issues. If you want to play, e-mail me at redfang@prado.com and I'll add you to one of our newly-forming games. Thank you for your time, -c.
