In my very >unbiased< opinion (keep in mind I'm just a player, not a GM), TribeNet is the pbEm to end all other pbEms! > My most important question at the moment, is how stable is the game? There are currently four continents being played on. The first, which started as a true pbm, has been going on now for 7 years! That's right - they are 14 game years into development on that continent. Do not be alarmed though! The newest two games just started within the last four months, hosted by current players of that oldest continent. There have been only 8 turns total on these two new continents, so you are not starting at a disadvantage! > The game sounds very complicated and that a player would have to > invest many years to get anywhere in the game. If the game 'died', you would be the LEAST of the people the GM would have to worry about! > Anyway, let me know how I can go about joining the game and how one > pays for the game and etc. One joins the game simply by asking. Since I am the most gung-ho on the game at the moment (and one of the newest players), that is why you see my name all over the place in the newsgroup and on my website. There is an ulterior motive to this... for every new 'recruit' you get to join the game, you get tokens which you can trade in for small items in the game or free turns. In the past two weeks, I have referred five players. > > Ben (lucky@umich.edu) Up
