Village Walls From: Terry Godfrey <godt@deaskin.edu.au> Date: Mon, 26 May 1997 00:00:00 +0000 Greg, this idea makes sense in so far as it accords more with reality. I think that the main problem is that the original ideas to do with wall sizes led to a fine balance between size and the capacity to build. As things stand, with Qry10 it would take a quite a long time to build 20 foot stone walls, a few stone towers plus other stone buildings - but not an impossible amount of time. If it was now required that refineries, meeting houses, bakeries, mills, wells should all have a space allocation then this would upset this balance in my view. The problem I have is how can you extend a circular 120 yard moat by 20 yards and get a circular 140 moat without getting wet feet? Up
