[PBEM News] The Valley of Obelisks From: btharvey@shaw-dot-ca.no-spam.invalid (DMHarv) Date: Mon, 09 Jul 2007 02:50:02 +0000 Nestled in peaceful isolation, you have called the Valley of Obelisks home for most of your young life. But something has drawn you away from the creature comforts of home, to the capital city of Sumberton. Is it a hunger for fame that pulls you? Do riches glisten within your mind's eye? Perhaps you wish to escape and simply disappear from whatever haunts your past? Whatever the case may be, there are others who share your plight, or your dreams... Sumberton could hold the key to your success... This is a 3.5 ed. D&D game satrting off with the Shattered Gates of Slaughtergarde campaign. If you have read the adventure or have DMed it before, please do not apply. And, if you want to play, don't go out and buy it and then read it while we play  Please submit to me a character using the following guidelines: 32-point buy system for abilities PHB races and classes only(to start, anyway - I have many books and will be willing to expand to other classes and prestige classes once we get going) max hit points and gold Character description and personality Brief background - basically, why did you leave home to travel to Sumberton. The Valley is quite large, so any number of types of people and humanoids are possible. There are forests, mountains, foothills, plains, villages, hamlets, towns, and of course, the large city of Sumberton. It is possible to come from outside the Valley, but I would want that described in your background. I will be filling in some blanks to fit you into the campaign world. The game will run on the following Yahoo group: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ValofObs If you have any questions, post them here and I will do my best to answer them. You can also join the group and take a look throught the Files section for a map of the valley (to help you with your background perhaps) and a little blurb on how I run my games. I will take 4-6 players depending on the quality of the submissions. Thanks, Brian -- posted from PBEM News - PBEM listings and announcements Reply to this post at http://www.pbemnews.org Up
