[The scene is a crowded press room.  At the front of the room, sitting
behind the mic, is a large , well-built man.  A reporter stands in
front of the camera.]

Reporter:"Hello, wrestling fans.  We're here at this press conference
that was called by former world wrestling champion, Ivan "The Big Boa"
Brutnick.  Let's here what he has to say."

Ivan (the guy behind the mic): Hello, media, friends, and family.
I've called this press conference to make an important announcement.
I am retired from professional wrestling effective today."

[A collective gasp goes up throughout the audience]

Reporter: "But Ivan!  You've won so many titles!  You're in the prime
of your career!  Why would you choose to retire now?"

Ivan [Looking downcast]:"Unfortunately, despite the fact that I may be
in the prime of my career, I find I cannot keep up with one
organization.  I've prided myself, made my career even, on the fact
that I can compete with anyone, anywhere, anytime.  But now there is
one federation that has so much talent, even I can't make a serious
challenge for the world title."

Reporter 2:"What?! Is it possible?  What is this great organization?"

Ivan:"The organization I am speaking of is the one and only WCCW.
West Coast Championship Wrestling.  I saw their homepage on the
internet, at http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Track/8110/
and went for a try-out.  I showed them my best tapes, my best moves.
My first title win at MSG.  But it wasn't good enough!  They said I
just didn't have the talent.  I watched a tape of some of their
'jobbers,' and even they worked harder than I did.  When you see a
thing like that, you just can't show your face in the sport again."

Reporter 3:"Is it true that they're still accepting application forms
from prospective wrestlers?"

Ivan:"Uh, yes.  I hear that new wrestlers will be accepted for the
next few weeks.  You can just go to the homepage and sign up.  That
is, if you think you've got what it takes."

Reporter 1:"So, how often are the cards, etc, in this federation?"

Ivan:"Well, there are two regular cards a week: Wyld Wednesday and
Sunday Night Slam.  In addition to this, there will be a Pay-Per-View
extravaganza every six weeks, and a weekly news-magazine type show.
All this in addition to the best hotline reports in the world, and
live IRC Interviews!"

Reporter 3:"So we can actually call a dreadfully over-priced 1-900
number and find out information we probably already learned from
rec.sport.pro-wrestling?"

Ivan:"Actually, you can just download the weekly reports, free of
charge, at the homepage in .wav format (also in .txt files.)"

Reporter 2:"Wow, this sounds like a great fed!" [turns to camera] "Why
don't you join today?"
