ads From: dsharkey@mindspring.com (Dave Sharkey) Date: Thu, 19 Jun 1997 00:00:00 +0000 Its one thing to advertise a game in search of players (as a player, any new game may interest me, this is one good source for such information). I really don't see a problem with posts asking for players to join games, descriptions of games, discussion of a game's redeeming qualities (or lack thereof). I would agree that this is not a forum for advertising sales of psychic services, jade boxes, miniatures, comic books, or anything else regardless of some marketing tie-in with some game. I don't think Pat Travers was wrong with his TribeNet posting(s). Pat is an enthusiastic gamer, and his Tribenet posts drew entirely too much undeserved flak. I like Tribenet, and I would like to feel welcome posting to this forum regarding strategy and tactics used in this game. Let players talk up the games they like . . . this is not advertising per se, but I think we all know spam when we see it . . . Up
