A week ago, I would have accepted your offer in a heartbeat, but after a
surprising and highly inappropriate email exchange with Mr. Lindahl, I'm
afraid I may have lost my objectivity on the subject.  I have read the
existing FAQ, as well as the policies and procedures for usenet
advertising.  It seems to me that the fundamental debate here is:  do we
follow the general *principles* of the usenet policy, as it is currently
established, or do we serve the *clear and expressed preferences* of those
who READ this newsgroup?  (Hush, Greg...we all know the debate between
readers and posters...don't let that cause you to miss the big picture.)

Ken, if you are willing to edit the nasties I would probably be unable to
avoid including at this time, I would be willing to present the "for
advertising" case.  I think Eagle would be the obvious choice to write
such a piece, but given the remarkable overhaul he has undertaken on Sol
III, I wonder if he has the time?
