What effect does it have when Greg (as it's usually him) raises a
protest about someone's posting... it generates *huge* threads of
discussion (or rather, argument) covering the same old boring ground
time and time again, which just end up going nowhere. I for one am sick
to death of this tedious argument, which generate far more message
traffic than we're ever going to get from the occasional 'ad'. I am sure
many other readers feel the same way.

Is it too much to ask that everyone accepts that this newsgroup is a
sensible place for anyone to mention a new game, be it free or
commercial? The players can't play games if they don't know about them,
so it's not surprising that very few are raising objections.

Can we please all now let it rest, it appears that Greg has accepted
that ads are acceptable on an occasional basis, thank heavens for that.

Can we talk about PBM now...? I would still like to see some postings
from *players* talking about the games they play, what they're like to
play, and why they like them playing them - any takers (*not* GM's
plugging their game!)?

Or do we return to a moribund forum?
