My purpose in doing it this way is to see if there is actually sufficient
support/interest to take this through the group creation process. Personally I
suspect the answer will be no. Its also the difference between an hour of work
(write a post, tally results) or considerably more (research the group
creation process, write up a formal RFD, follow discussion in the hell of
news.groups).
