Greg, this would only be a flame if you see yourself as the insignificant
gnat in question.  If you interpret my posting as an implied
disqualification of you as 1) a player, 2) a GM, and 3) an individual, I
suggest that you read my words again.  The point is that we all would
benefit from ignoring what we find obnoxious, or debating issues
rationally.  I remind you that the context of the post was a player's fear
of being flamed for posting an opinion.  Let's not bring such fears to
fruition.

You illustrate my point.  I said I HADN'T been flamed.  I also said I had
encountered nastiness from only one person, and that was via email from an
individual, not the group.  I did not mention you by name, but since
you've made the issue public, I will respond.  I called your email
question reasonable, and answered it.  You didn't like my answer, so you
sent me not one, but two nasty emails in response.  THAT was the ethical
blunder...not your initial question.

So are we going to keep sniping, flaming, chastising, and correcting each
other, or are we going to encourage players to jump in without fear?
Bringing up a personal thing you have with me was inappropriate.  I was
trying to encourage players to post, and you may have just proved me
wrong.  I had also said I could find no example of a GM flaming a
player...but given your status as a GM, I believe you proved me wrong
there, too.

Now I honestly want some group feedback, please.  If we are both being
silly babies, I publicly apologize for my part, as I never intentionally
trolled.  I'm just a player in a cool game looking for some camaraderie.
If my postings are offensive or inflammatory to the subscribers of this
group, I will change my tone.
