To paraphrase Dan Aykroyd, You wouldn't know the truth if it fell out of
the sky, landed on your face, and started to wiggle.  In reviewing the
postings of the past week, it doesn't appear you've been anywhere NEAR the
truth.  This thread won't die because you are ignoring the valid points
that are being made.  Instead, you continue to snipe and flame, all the
while pointing your finger at everyone else.

In fairness, perhaps you truly do not understand the opposing points.
This appears to be true, but I have to believe if you were making an
honest effort to understand, you would make some attempt at diplomatic,
respectful debate.  You haven't allowed for so much as the courtesy of
acknowledgement to date.

Greg, before you rise up in righteous indignation, you might want to
reflect on the fact that YOU appear to be the worst offender in this ng
for half-truths and out-of-context snipes.  Now before you snipe
again...exactly how many examples of this point would you like to see
re-posted?  Quack, quack.

P.S., As a former employee of AOL, I assure you AOL's TOS states that any
posting that is relevant to the focus of a newsgroup is allowable.  This
ng is for and about the pbm industry, and new developments in said
industry are newsworthy by definition, and therefore, NOT against the
Terms of Service.  AOL does not have a Usenet "Policy," they have only
guidelines - principle among them is the standard that each ng's FAQ
overrides AOL guidelines.  This group's FAQ is open to
interpretation....can an ad only be posted once for the lifetime of a
game, or once per year, or once per Lindahl's definition of reasonable?
The people of this group have spoken loud and clear on this issue.
Basically, it's as you said of your own "higher authorities:"  they could
care less about a flame war on a single newsgroup.  They are looking for
serious spammers, cross-posters, and gross verbal abuses...not
subject-appropriate informational posters.

Posters to this ng are - by and large - following FAQ (perhaps not your
interpretation of it, but the letter of it, none the less).  The threat to
contact ISPs is insupportable.  You can do it, but AOL isn't going to do
anything to people like Karen, Ken, Eagle, or even me for expressing our
opinions in an appropriate forum.
