And I gave a simple answer.  It is your right to do that.  Go ahead.  I
won't complain.
  I do not agree with hit and run advertising and never have.  I
personally would be unlikly to frequent a companie that did not have a
presense here, and frankly, the only PBeMs that I have played are those
that either post here, or in the PBM/RPG areas on AOL.  However, that is a
personal opinion, and I don't even try to hold anyone else to it.

And you just proved that you have NOT read a single post in this whole
thread.  This group does not want ads, they want more info.  They want
responsible and tasteful posts about games, and if they can't get them
from players, then they want them from the moderators.  You seem to view
any post from a moderator about their game as an Ad, so I have used that
word to have a common terminology.  However, to paraphrase John Dickinson
in "1776" you have the most annoying ability of turning perfectly
delightful terms like advertisment and promotion in to something
distastful.
  Ads and promotions are not Hype and any Moderator worth his salt knows
that even if posters are saying they want ads once a month, posting that
often with the same info will drive players away, not draw them in.

Greg, by posting ads for people who are not here to represent them, you
*are* speaking for others.  Maybe not silent to you, but silent to us.
