Later, when hunting becomes less effeicient you can do other things, these other thing at this stage is making items that will help you in hunting, the best thing to build are traps (a hunter can use 5 each and is the best), you should aim at all hunters armed with an item (5 traps, spear, or sling ect.) Later when you be come more advanced you should work towards Farming/breadmaking as it can completely feed your tribe (i'm not at that stage yet, but but working my way there. I have Tried whaling but it dosen't seem to be worth it, as far as i know no one uses fishing (but I could be wrong), not to say its not worth it but there's alot to do to be able to make it worth doing, making boats, nets, get all the naval skills, fishing skill ect. I still hunt in spring/summer but i also farm/make bread. You most also relise that you can't 100% relie on farming as you can't alway predict what could happen, you can get poor returns, due to various reasons. Regarding the nead for cotton for ropes/string, this is not correct, you can use gut to make these Items (which most tribes do use), check waxwork in the rules, gut/wax can be used instead of cotton in making strings, and gut/bark in making rope and nets (see weaving) Hope this help, as we don't want a half dead tribe when we get there (they make poor slaves) ;-) Trantor Referenced By Up
