Jessica Strange started work as a model. She was very popular. But her life changes when she volunteers to go into space on a millionaire's experimental space vehicle as part of his plans to institute space tourism. The mission goes well until the spacecraft is bombarded with both cosmic rays and solar radiation. Jessica's physiology is altered. Once she's back on Earth, Jessica develops superhuman powers which include flight, superhuman strength, superhuman speed, telescopic, microscopic, infrared, and x-ray vision, incredible hearing, the ability to communicate telepathically, the ability to shapeshift, and magic. Jessica is also blessed with the ability to sing at all ranges. At first Jessica doesn't want the powers but when her mother tells her that she was given the powers for a reason and she saves the life of a friend, Jessica quits her job as a model and worked out to get a more athletic look. She made a blue bikini-like costume, donned it, and became the superheroine Sky Angel. Sky Angel immediately started battling villains. When she wasn't out fighting the bad guys, Jessica became the lead singer for the pop singing group "Dream Street" and a private detective with the elite LA PI firm, Area 51 Investigations. Whenever its ugly head, Jessica ducks out and dances, transforming herself into Sky Angel. Sky Angel fights crime with the help of some unusual and unlikely allies both human and gh.
